One Monitoring Service Combined with a Reading Service
The Benefits of EEG(IM) Monitoring for the Reading Neurologist

Reading is often a passion and understanding the subtlties of electroencephalography.  Reading EEGs often an art as well as a science.

As a result most reading neurologist will spend one hour of review (at 40x speed) for a 24-36 hour cEEG study of "recorded" data that is 'unattended." Each artifact and remarkable event must be reviewed in long-hand as data scrolls across the screen.

If CortiCare's registered EEG technologist review the data prior to our scan and intrepretation and 'bookmarks' events and extraneous and irrelevant data to make the professional review more efficient.

WIth CortiCare monitoring your studies you get pre-reveiw by a R.EEG T which qualifies for a 24 hour "attended" study - CPT Code 95956 versus 95953.  Even with mdifier 26 versus 52 the professional component is higher and you have another set of eye marking your study.

Patient Risk Stratification using EEG(IM) Monitoring Services

All patients are different especially critical care patients.  Even from one day to the next severity changes and the cerebral conditions are different. CortiCare/s Intermittent Monitoring (IM) services allow the hospital to change monitoring modalities without losing continuous surveillance for the patient.

The frequency of review and intervention can be customized to accommodate variations by patient severity, by disease state, by protocol, by department, by day and/or time.  You control the monitoring frequency and the costs.
